Description

Responding to the Lord’s call, Nathalie Schikora and her husband made their family property available for God’s work.

This is how, for the past 30 years, their home in the Gard became a Christian spiritual retreat centre for Youth With a Mission.

This calling has had deep roots for more than 80 years. During the Second World War, a woman from the family that owned the house already had a desire to transform it for this purpose.

Unfortunately, she was unable to carry out this project, as she died in a concentration camp after being denounced while being part of the Resistance in Paris. But today, this house brings light in the heart of the many who come to seek God.

This house, built in 1639, has undergone extensive renovations thanks to Nathalie and her husband, who, using their own resources, have transformed this residence into:

A Place of Hospitality and Lodging:

The property has been converted into four apartments to house full-time missionary staff as well as visiting students. It is also a missionary welcome centre for intercession teams praying for France and Europe, as well as for seminars…

A Space for Prayer:

Everything the couple builds is founded on prayer. A “prayer cellar” has already been set up on the site of a former sheepfold.

A Training and Seminar Centre:

Thanks to the fully-equipped classroom, three-month training programmes focused on worship, intercession, and the prophetic are held here, as well as weeklong seminars on the prophetic, restoration of the individual, families, and art.

This mission continues to bear fruit and grow.

For five years now, the word that the couple and their team have received is: “Enlarge the space of your tent.” They see the need for a larger space dedicated to prayer, as more and more friends and close ones wish to participate in these times of prayer.

To this end, Nathalie and her husband are looking to renovate the barn located below an apartment, creating a prayer room, a kitchen area, and restrooms.

To complete this project, they need 107,000 euros, with an initial goal of 30,000 euros.

Every donation contributes to the creation of this prayer room. Your donation will make it possible to welcome more people who are seeking to be renewed in God and to pray with others for this world.

Faced with this challenge, the word of faith from Mark 11:22—“Have faith in God”—gives courage to Nathalie, her husband, and their team to continue growing this place.
